Our Services

Personal 1:1 Sound Baths

Personalized 1:1 sessions offer a focused and in-depth sound therapy and wellness opportunity. Specific protocols as established by the International Academy of Sound Healing can be introduced to help with a number of physical ailments, mind detoxification, aura cleansing and detoxification, and nervous system regulation. Of course, all the benefits of the Sound Bath experience can also be realized in a 1:1 sound session.

Group Sound Baths

Bob’s recording of Tibetan Singing Bowls and Gongs fully captures their unique sounds with a clarity and presence unusual to the Sound Bath experience.  The powerful combination of resonances and monaural beats that singing bowls produce is fully captured with Bob's recordings.  Many listeners have said that his Sound Bath recordings are the next best thing to actually being there.  You are encouraged and invited to listen and decide for yourself.

Virtual Sound Baths & Recordings

Sound and Gong Baths are available for small and large groups of attendees. Small groups can be seen in Bob’s home studio. Larger groups are best served in spaces and facilities that can more comfortably accommodate more people such as Yoga and Wellness studios, Meditation centers, Healthcare facilities, and Libraries, where all can benefit from the brainwave entrainment that singing bowls provide, allowing you to move into more profound states of relaxation and meditation.

About Bob Frye

Bob Frye is a certified Sound Bath practitioner and lifelong musician - a classically trained organist, improvising jazz pianist, synthesist, and composer.  With a Bachelors of Music from Fredonia State University, Bob also participated in classical organ masterclasses and performances in Holland with Arthur Howes of the Peabody Conservatory of Music.  His musical education also includes Graduate studies in Composition and Electronic Music at UCSD with John Cage, Pauline Olivieros and Roger Reynolds. As a Product Manager with Yamaha, Bob worked closely with musical titans including Chick Corea and Morton Subotnick.

Singing Bowls and Gongs have become his primary focus as a pathway to meditation and healing.  Certified by the International Academy of Sound Healers (IASH) and the Ohm Store’s Sound School and Gong School, Bob brings a lifetime of meditation and musical experiences to Sound Baths and sonic wellness.

Bob has also enjoyed a career with professional audio recording and music production technologies.  This experience informs his recording of Singing Bowls and Gongs, allowing him to fully capture their unique individual sounds with a clarity and presence unusual to the recorded Sound Bath experience.

  • “Hosting Bob Frye of Querencia Soundworks at my yoga studio for a sound bath is nothing short of magical for our community. I've also had the pleasure of collaborating with him.  Watching him work with his bowls and gongs is truly inspiring.  He is passionate and intuitively connected to his instruments. We cannot wait to work with him in the future.” - Cate Bartilucci (Luna Power Yoga)

  • “Experiencing your Sound Bath was like sitting with a sonic sommelier, immersing oneself in a meditative masterpiece” - Jonathan Adams (aka Sonic Yogi, sound practitioner and musician)

  • “Your talent and your heart are going to transform so many lives, you have such a beautiful gift” - Lauren Andrews (Operations Manager, The Ohm Store & Sound School)

Benefits of Sound Healing

Neuroscience confirms what Yogis have known for thousands of years.

During a Sound Bath:

  • The nervous system shifts from stress mode to a deeply restorative rest.

  • The heart rate slows, breath deepens, as the body feels it is safe to let go.

  • The amygdala calms down and stops scanning for fear and danger.

  • Brainwaves move from beta to theta (and possibly delta) through a process known as entrainment.  Theta state is where creativity, memory processing, and emotional restoration happen.  It is the state between waking and dreaming where the body does its deepest and most profound healing.

  • The heart, brain, and breath harmonize… creating a clear and spacious, “floaty” feeling.

  • On the group level, everyone is pulled into presence, collectively reinforcing each individual’s connection and grounding calmness.

Our Ethos

Querencia Soundworks is your Sonic Sanctuary, a safe and welcoming environment for relaxation, meditation, personal growth and rejuvenation.  I have a deep, personal belief in the healing and restorative qualities of singing bowls through direct, personal and profound experiences that have guided and shaped my life.  The profound states of relaxation and centering that I have come to know through regular bowl meditation is what I so passionately want to share with my community.  More and more medical and scientific research confirms what many of us have come to know first-hand: that the vibrational energy of Singing Bowls and Gongs does indeed influence the body and spirit in ways profound and real, they are both a new and an ancient path to health and wellness.
